  • Place beef in slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce to low, and cook an additional 4 hours. If desired, remove lid during last 30 minutes to allow sauce to reduce and thicken.
  • With a heavy fork, transfer meat to a rimmed board or plate then shred with two forks. Return shredded beef to the remaining sauce in slow cooker.
