Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
Place chicken in a resealable bag.
In a large bowl, combine the honey, lime juice, lime peel, garlic, tamari, salt and ground black pepper.
Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, turning occasionally.
Arrange chicken in a single layer on prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until browned on top, about 25 minutes. Turn the wings and return to oven to bake until crisp, no longer pink in the center, and the juices run clear, about 20 minutes more.
